We use a space at American Self Storage to house our copies of VIP Alexandria Magazine PLUS all of our extra racks.... Since launching my magazine back in October 2019, this vendor is the ONLY ONE that has remained consistent for me! :-) Professional. Friendly. AMAZING staff. I always know that my magazines are safe and that I'll be taken care of! Also... great location! So close to Old Town AND 495. Would highly recommend this facility to business owners, but also to individuals for personal use.read more

This is a great facility, very well run, and is an ideal place for renting not only parking spaces but also storage... units. They were extremely helpful in switching parking spaces when the first one wouldn't fit our trailer. They also prorate the amount you owe at the end of your time there so you don't pay a full month's rent for only two weeks. The night security people seemed really alert and watchful when I encountered them. Everyone was really nice and friendly, too. I am very glad we ended up here instead of at some big chain where people don't care as much about their customers. Given the professionalism and competence exhibited by just about everyone in the office, I wouldn't be surprised if they go on to run big companies in the future (or maybe they'll open more locations, I hope).read more

Need storage? Rent from here. Family run business that treats customers like family. They offer a free trailer to new... customers to assist with transporting to your storage unit. They delivery it to your location, you load it, and they pick it up once done. The trailer is then dropped off at your unit to unload. No gimmick. Every interaction I had with their team was easy and they were always helpful. Excellent customer service. Will happily use them again in the future.read more

I’ll start by saying that I’d never expect to feel the need to write a review for a storage facility, but customer... service is very important to me and Karla was just exceptional at accommodating me and my situation. I was traveling from NC going far north with a trailer and only needed storage for a weekend and then continue on. I called Cube Smart first and was on the phone for 30 minutes while they explained that I’d have to pay for a full month to store the trailer and continued on with this complex explanation that I didn’t have time for. I called Karla at American and she was super personable and told me it was no problem to park for the weekend. The price was pro-rated (and awesome) and I was coming in late so she had given instructions to the security guards to let me in AFTER they had closed. BUT that’s not all. After the weekend I continued up north (picking up a boat) and was on my way to NC and needed to stay in DC for the night. They do have a policy where you must rent for at least 2-3 days, but Karla allowed me to park my boat inside the gate for the evening. Just can’t say enough about good customer service and there was no way I would have gotten that service at the big corporate storage centers. Support Local Business and if you need storage for ANYTHING give Karla a call at American Self Storage!!!read more

The staff here are wonderful. They can help with all your needs and they are 24/7 and staff here 7 days a week during... the day. They have clean, secure storage, and the physical onsite security has your back and your storage. Thank you guys for all the smiles, assistance, and suppprt!read more

Very good place. Glean, Lourdes and Karla are always friendly and very helpful. I have two units and never had issues.... Easy and clean property, all ground level units and they always offer complimentary coffee and hot chocolate.read more

Awesome storage facility! I have parked my dump trucks for years and never had issues. Karla and EJ are always friendly... and very helpful, they are always smiling and make the parking storage feel like home.
